Overview:

The eighth mission in EVE Online‘s Business career arc is another simple transport mission that reiterates one of the biggest parts of making money off the markets in New Eden: moving goods from one location to another. This will be a relatively quick exercise, requiring barely any jumps and using cargo small enough to again fit in a shuttle, which makes things even easier on you.

What makes this mission significant is the item reward for completing it: the Limited Social Adaption Chip implant, which provides a +1 bonus to your Charisma attribute. Implants, particularly the ones like this that boost one of your five primary attributes, are a big help when it comes to training skills faster, and they’re the only way to speed up the process beyond using a neural remap. Your character has 10 total implant slots, 5 of which are used for one of each of the 5 groups of attribute-boosting implants, with the social chips being slot 5.

Boosting your Charisma attribute affects the training times of the fewest number of skills when compared to the other attributes. However, this also makes these chips cheaper to purchase. Even so, the aspiring businessman will need this boost, since the few skills Charisma affects are heavily tied to the profession—namely, Trade and Market skills, Planetary Interaction, and Agent and NPC corp relation skills. In addition, those looking to train Corporation or Leadership skills will also need these implants, although they’re less related to business as a profession early on in your character’s lifetime.
