Sisters of EVE

This guide covers the first Chapter “Quality of Mercy” of the Sisters of EVE epic mission arc, The Blood-Stained Stars, in the MMO video game EVE Online. These missions are part of a long chain of story missions, separated into several chapters, that take players down a long path of unique tasks for the game’s major factions.

Contents:

  1. A Beacon Beckons
  2. Agent Inquiry
  3. Of Interest
  4. Retrieving Red
  5. Alerting Alitura
  6. Jetcanning a Janitor
  7. Chivvying a Chef
  8. Delivering a Doctor
  9. Engineering a Rescue
  10. Going Gallente

1. A Beacon Beckons

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

Objectives

“Approach the wrecked ships.”

Location: Manarq (0.8)—2 Jumps away

Most of the missions in the first chapter of the Sisters of EVE arc are rather simple, straightforward, and quick to do, especially if you can fly anything better than a frigate. When you reach the mission location, you’ll warp in about 20km away from a demolished Revelation sitting among various other debris and dust clouds. All you need to do is approach the wrecks within a few kilometers and the mission will complete. You can open your journal and complete the mission right there in space, on top of requesting and accepting the next mission in the chain remotely.

Rewards:

  • + 0.4502 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 128,000 Iskbonus (3 hours, 39 minutes)

Remember, Isk and standing rewards will vary depending on your effective standings, social skills, and negotiation skills. Standings increase was calculated to be from the base (if you had social at 0) for reference purposes.

Salvage values are even more prone to fluctuation, again meant as a general reference for the potential worth of drops in a mission. These are calculated from averaged values of multiple runs of the mission.

2. Agent Inquiry

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau
*Can be accepted in space following completion of A Beacon Beckons in Manarq.

Objectives

“Report to Tevis Jak.”

  • Tevis Jak’s Iteron Mark III in Tar (0.8)—1 Jump away from Manarq

Agent Inquiry has you completing another quick straightforward task, jumping a system away and warping to an agent in space, who will be your contact for the next few missions. When you reach the Tar system, you should find a Celestial Beacon on your overview for Tevis Jak (if not you may need to enable them in your overview settings) which you can warp to. When you reach the location you’ll find an NPC Iteron a few kilometers away which is Tevis himself.

For those of you unfamiliar with using agents in space, if you select his ship, you’ll find an icon with two people and some sound waves on your selected item window above your overview. Use this button to start a conversation with the agent which auto completes the mission and allows you to start the next.

Rewards:

  • + 0.4198 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 96,000 Iskbonus (3 hours, 26 minutes)

3. Of Interest

Mission Starting Agent: Tevis Jak (Epic Arc Agent—Mining)
Agent Location: Tevis Jak’s Iteron Mark III in Tar (0.8)

Objectives

Acquire these goods:

  • 1 x Strange Datacore (0.1m3)
  • Drop-Off Location: Tar (0.8)

“Eliminate any pirates present at the wreck site.”

Location: Manarq (0.8)—1 Jump away from Tar

In the mission Of Interest, you’re tasked with flying back out to the field of wrecked ships you inspected in the first mission, A Beacon Beckons, with the intent of clearing out any pirate scavengers who have shown up to loot the wrecks. You’ll be heading back to Manarq and arriving at a non-gated encounter that looks the same, however this time with some enemy frigates flying about.

You’ll need to face 3 separate waves of ships, which are all relatively weak and shouldn’t provide much of a challenge for anyone with decent skills, or even crap skills and enough to fly a destroyer. The final ship killed from the 3rd and final wave, drops a container along with a wreck. You’ll also get a neocom message letting you know the container has dropped, which you should find, fly towards, and loot, to retrieve the special Datacore you need to complete this mission.

When you’ve got it, you can fly back to Tevis’ Iteron and complete the mission there in space, the Datacore will be automatically removed from your inventory even though you are not docked with a station.

Enemies (Blood Raiders)

Room 1:

  • Group 1: 2-3 Corpii Follower or Worshiper
10 km from warp in, spawns Group 2 on death
  • Group 2: 2 Corpi Upholders, + 1 Corpi Herald or Upholder
    Spawns Group 3 on death
  • Group 3: 2 Corpi Worshiper, + 1 Corpi Worshiper or Follower
    Last killed drops Datacore container.

Bounty: Fluctuates, around 33,000 Isk

Rewards:

  • + 0.5298 % corporation standing with ORE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 89,000 Iskbonus (3 hours, 36 minutes)
  • Salvage: 360,000 Isk

4. Retrieving Red

Mission Starting Agent: Tevis Jak (Epic Arc Agent—Mining)
Agent Location: Tevis Jak’s Iteron Mark III in Tar (0.8)

Objectives

Acquire these goods:

  • 1x Red (1.0m3)
  • Drop-Off Location: Tar (0.8)

“Destroy the pirates, find Red and bring him back to Tevis Jak.”

  • Tar (0.8)

Mission #4 in chapter 1 of The Blood-Stained Stars, Retrieving Red, has you flying to an encounter in-system to attempt to retrieve a man named Red who is currently on a convoy, that your agent worries might fall to attack by pirates.

Unfortunately, when you arrive at the mission location, there are no friendly ships in sight, presumed destroyed by the small cluster of pirate ships that still linger. Take out these relatively weak vessels to make a second wave made up of a single, somewhat stronger frigate show up on the field. Once this single vessel is taken out, a container drops out near it’s wreck just like before, which you’ll need to fly towards in order to retrieve the corpse of the man you seek. Return to your agent in system to turn over the body and complete the mission.

Enemies (Blood Raiders)

Room 1:

  • Group 1: 2 Corpii Follower, 2 Corpii Worshiper
    or; 3 Corpii Follower
30 km from warp in, spawns Group 2 on death
  • Group 2: 1 Corpii Diviner
    Drops container with Red inside.

Bounty: 18,925–21,175 Isk

Rewards:

  • + 0.3596 % corporation standing with ORE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 53,000 Iskbonus (2 hours, 36 minutes)
  • Salvage: 46,700 Isk

5. Alerting Alitura

Mission Starting Agent: Tevis Jak (Epic Arc Agent—Mining)
Agent Location: Tevis Jak’s Iteron Mark III in Tar (0.8)

Objectives

Report to Sister Alitura

  • Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau (0.6)—3 Jumps away

The fifth mission in the chain is back to the really simple, with your only task being to fly the 3 jumps out, back to Arnon where you’ll have to report to Sister Alitura whom you started the arc with. From there, you’ll be accepting your next mission from her.

Rewards:

  • + 0.4107 % corporation standing with ORE
  • 72,000 Isk
  • 76,000 Iskbonus (2 hours, 48 minutes)

6. Jetcanning a Janitor

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

Objectives

Acquire these goods:

  • 1x Nebben Centrien, Janitor (3.0m3)
  • Drop-Off Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

“Kill the pirates, find Nebben Centrien and return him to Sister Alitura.”

  • Arnon (0.6)

Now that your back to taking orders from the Sisters of EVE, you’re objective here is to fly out to a similar encounter as the previous two you’ve done so far. You’ll be given a bookmark in system, which is a small outpost with several various buildings, protected by a pair of pirates initially.

This pair when destroyed will give way to a second group of 4 this time for you to squash. Once the second group has been destroyed, a container will spawn labeled Centrien’s Shuttle, which is the object you’ll have to approach and open to find the Janitor. Note that the object will be marked as a container on your overview, but is actually a shuttle if you look at it. On a positive note, the person you’ve been tasked with picking up this time around, is still alive when you retrieve him.

Enemies (Serpentis)

Room 1:

  • Group 1: 2 Coreli Spy
10 km from warp in, spawns Group 2 on death
  • Group 2: 2 Coreli Initiate, 2 Coreli Scout
Last ship killed spawns container with Janitor inside.

Bounty: 22,500 Isk

Side Info: If you read the little paragraph about Janitors in the mission window, you’ll find an amusing reference to capsuleers (the players of eve) and their tendency to leave items in space, which actually requires on the efforts of CCP to keep in check at times, and has been the basis for some fixes and patch changes in the past. The need for space janitors is all very much a real one while space junk has a significant effect on the game world, especially since many of the game’s items left by players, floating around in space, will remain there indefinitely unless disturbed.

Rewards:

  • + 0.5677 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 142,000 Iskbonus (4 hours, 38 minutes)
  • Salvage: 150,000 Isk

7. Chivvying a Chef

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

Objectives

Acquire these goods:

  • 1x Chef Aubrei Azil (3.0m3)
  • Drop-Off Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

“Rescue Aubrei Azil.”

  • Arnon (0.6)

Your next task in chapter one of the sisters arc is to go rescue a space chef by the name of Aubrei Azil, who is stranded out at the mission encounter location you are given in system. The two twists that make this mission slightly different from the last is that first, you’ll be fighting drones this time around, and second, you’ll find the person you have to rescue awaiting you in space upon your arrival without any enemies present. The first wave will not spawn until you are within 8 km of the Heron labeled Azil’s Transport, which you’ll need to open as you did the containers before, to retrieve the Chef.

Enemies (Drones)

Room 1:

  • Group 1: 2 Splinter Alvi
Spawns 25km out when Azil’s Transport is approached within 8km.
  • Group 2: 3-5 Infester Alvi
Spawns on death of group 1.

Bounty: 16,500–22,000 Isk

Rewards:

  • + 0.2129 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 53,000 Iskbonus (4 hours, 38 minutes)
  • Salvage: 33,000 Isk

8. Delivering a Doctor

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

Objectives

Acquire these goods:

  • 1x Doctor Lujia Elban (1.0m3)

“Deliver the ransom money for Dr. Lujia Elban.”

  • Arnon (0.6)

Granted Items: 1 x A Lot of Money (3.0m3)

It’s time for you to head out into space to retrieve another crew member, this time a doctor, from a bunch of nasty pirates in frigates. The basic principle is the same in this mission as those prior, where you’ll have to face a couple waves of enemy ships then retrieve the VIP from a container of some kind. Delivering a Doctor, switches things up a little bit by granting you an item, the “A Lot of Money” which isn’t so much real money as a quest item, which you’ll need to place into a container labeled “Dead Drop” about 20km from where you warp in to the encounter.

Enemies (Serpentis)

Room 1:

  • Group 1: 2 Coreli Spy, 1 Coreli Agent
Spawns 25km out when Lots of Money is placed in Dead Drop.
  • Group 2: 2 Coreli Spy, 2 Coreli Agent
Spawns on death of group 1. Last ship destroyed drops cargo container holding Doctor.

Bounty: 32,625 Isk

There are no enemy waves initially present until you place the A Lot of Money into the dead drop container from where you can no longer retrieve it, preventing you from keeping the item, not that there’s any real reason to. Once the money is in the container, the first wave is triggered, spawning and attacking you with a neocom message from said pirates, affirming their intentions of double crossing you.

Take out the first wave of frigates to spawn a second, the last of which is killed, drops a cargo container with Doctor Lujia Elban whom you can then loot and return to your agent base with.

Rewards:

  • + 0.2689 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 79,000 Iskbonus (2 hours, 12 minutes)
  • Salvage: 383,000 Isk

9. Engineering a Rescue

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

Objectives

Acquire these goods:

  • 1x Engineer Tahaki Karin (1.0m3)

“Rescue Engineer Tahaki Karin from her ship, The Heartbreak.”

  • Arnon (0.6)

This will be your final crew member retrieval mission along with the final combat mission for this chapter of the Sisters arc. Your final VIP objective is one Engineer, by the name of Tahaki, who is still aboard a wrecked Megathron in an encounter in Arnon.

When you warp to the encounter, you’ll arrive 15 km from the Megathron “The Heartbreak” and the first wave of drones circling it. Engage these along with the second, which spawn on the first wave’s death. Again, pretty easy pushovers like most of the enemies thus far. All you’ll have to do then is approach the Heartbreak, open it like a container and loot the engineer.

Blitz: Just fly straight to the Heartbreak and loot the engineer, no need to kill the drones.

Enemies (Drones)

Room 1:

  • Group 1: 3 Infester Alvi, 1 Splinter Alvi
15km from warp in circling The Heartbreak.
  • Group 2: 2 Coreli Spy, 2 Coreli Agent
Spawns on death of group 1.

Bounty: 27,000 Isk

Fun Fact: As of the writing of this guide, the Heartbreak, which is a Megathron Gallente Battleship, actually uses a slightly modified model of the ancient Megathron, back from many years ago before the massive graphics overhaul that made the ships the pretty works of art that they are today (not that those ships were bad for their time back then). Take a close look, and even though its partially occluded in dust clouds, you can see the massive difference between the old model and texture job, compared with the current day Megathron.

Rewards:

  • + 0.2053 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 52,000 Iskbonus (1 hours, 40 minutes)
  • Salvage: 220,000 Isk

10. Going Gallente

Mission Starting Agent: Sister Alitura (Epic Arc Agent—Security)
Agent Location: Arnon IX—Moon 3—Sisters of EVE Bureau

Objectives

Report to Delphine Xarasier

  • Harerget V—Moon 1—CreoDron Factory(0.8)—8 Jumps away

Your final mission with the Sisters for now, this wraps up Chapter 1, Quality of Mercy. You will be sent 8 jumps away to the Harerget system to report to and continue the epic arc with your next agent. The next few chapters will have you sent to different regions of space around New Eden, working for a single, different corporation for each chapter, before being sent to another.

Rewards:

  • + 0.7332 % corporation standing with Sisters of EVE
  • 100,000 Isk
  • 218,000 Isk bonus (6 hours)
