Overview

In Glue, you’ll be introduced and instructed on using the webifier modules, which are auxiliary midslot mods that are used to ensnare and slow down enemy ships in EVE. Besides just the obvious effect of slowing your enemy down, it’s important to consider that webifiers make it easier for your weapons to score better hits, reducing the tracking needed for turrets or velocity of the target for missiles. For pilots with shorter range weapons, it also plays a big part in keeping the enemy from escaping your optimal range.

There are many uses for webifiers that fall outside the scope of direct combat benefits, such as keeping an enemy player tackled when used along with a warp scrambler or disruptor, keeping them from escaping the mods effects and warping away to safety. In other instances, they can even be used to help larger, slower vessels to align faster, used on a friendly ship to make the time it takes them to enter warp much shorter.

DO NOT SHOOT ANYTHING.

Yup, again. This is going to be a non-combat mission, where you’ll only be using the webifier. You’ll warp to the mission location and be given some prompts to close range with a lone pirate and use the webifier module on it. The pirate will fire back but the damage they do is negligible and not worth being concerned about, even in a rookie ship. Just read and close out the prompts as they come and eventually a small group of concord ships will show up and destroy the pirate via a scripted event.

There are quite a bit of harvestable asteroids in this mission (low end, of course). Without an acceleration gate limiting access, it can make for a good harvest by an Exhumer or Mining Barge. (More details on specific quantities to follow.)

If you haven’t already, it will be a good idea to train the Destroyers (for ships like the Thrasher) skill when you receive the skill book as a reward.
